The Knockout rounds of The Voice Season 28 are over, and 16 singers are moving on to the Playoffs. Traditionally, this is when viewers began voting for their favorites. Although live public voting during the Playoffs is no longer part of the show, this season introduced a new element called the Mic Drop, giving viewers some say in who continues.
Ice-T recently explained to TMZ why he’s been missing from the last couple of episodes of SVU, even though he’s been with the show longer than almost anyone else – he’s the second longest-running cast member in the entire franchise.
Hawley shared in a statement about the project:
It’s surprising how few John Carpenter movies were both critically praised and commercially successful when they first came out. Most of his films received lukewarm or negative reviews initially, only gaining appreciation later on. This left Carpenter feeling discouraged with the film industry, and while several of his movies eventually became beloved cult classics, it didn’t really make up for all the early criticism he endured.
With the end of The Expanse three years ago leaving some fans wanting more, Prime Video has announced a new Stargate series. Amazon MGM Studios has approved the project, which will be written by Marin Gero, a veteran of the Stargate franchise. This is exciting news for sci-fi fans, as a show like Stargate is exactly what the genre is currently missing.
Since its release on November 7th, Badlands has earned $159.5 million globally. Its success is likely due to being the first film in the series rated PG-13 since Alien vs. Predator in 2004, and because it was shown in high-quality formats like IMAX. The movie has been well-received by both audiences and critics, currently holding an 86% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes – making it one of the best-reviewed films in the series, surpassed only by Killer of Killers and Badlands itself.
I was really excited when The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo got five Oscar nominations back in 2012, and I was thrilled it actually won for Best Editing! While it might not be David Fincher’s most famous film, I think it’s one of his most compelling. He really leans into his signature dark and gritty style, which totally works for this twisted and violent story. And honestly, Rooney Mara is incredible as Lisbeth Salander – it’s easily some of the best acting I’ve ever seen from her. You really feel for her!
Let’s begin with a sneak peek. A script for the first episode of One Piece Season 3, called “Where There’s Smoke,” was found in a desert setting alongside a human skull, a Log Pose (used for navigating the Grand Line), and a unique dagger. That dagger actually belongs to the character Ace, who will be played by Xolo Maridueña, known for his role in Cobra Kai, in the upcoming live-action series.
Because FX is owned by Disney, the show Far Cry will likely be available to stream on both Hulu and Disney+.
I was honestly worried after The Exorcist: Believer didn’t quite land. It felt like the future of the franchise was up in the air! I heard they’d originally planned another movie with the same director, but after the box office results, that was scrapped.
