Many consider the Muppet Christmas Carol to be the best version of the classic story. Released in 1992, the film stars Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge, who is haunted by ghostly Muppets. Kermit the Frog plays Bob Cratchit, Fozzie Bear is Fozziwig, and the story is narrated by Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat. The movie perfectly combines the Muppets’ signature silly humor with the touching and hopeful message of Scrooge’s transformation at Christmas.

It was so funny watching Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy struggle through the holidays – relatable, especially if you come from a slightly chaotic family like mine. They skipped Christmas episodes in the first and sixth seasons for some reason, which was a bummer, but thankfully, most seasons gave us a festive treat. I’m excited to revisit every 30 Rock Christmas episode, starting from the very beginning!
