Good news for fans – a new show, CIA, is coming to CBS! Starring Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss, the series centers around CIA agent Colin Glass and FBI agent Bill Goodman as they investigate challenging cases. Originally planned for a fall release, the premiere was delayed due to changes in the cast and storyline. While it’s a bit different from how most network TV shows launch spinoffs, CIA still uses a successful formula from Wolf Entertainment.

Sony Pictures Animation has been consistently delivering fantastic animated films, including the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the critically acclaimed Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and the popular KPop Demon Hunters. When they brought on Dillihay, a director known for his work on Bob’s Burgers, alongside Curry, fans had high expectations for their next project.

Per Variety, a joint statement from P.T.A. and Phantom Thread composer Jonny Greenwood reads:

Many anime series now offer stories and characters just as captivating, or even better, than Berserk. While fans often consider moments like the Eclipse and Guts’ quest for revenge to be unmatched, it’s worth reconsidering that idea, especially given that Berserk’s manga first appeared 37 years ago.

The comic book series Y: The Last Man appeared in the early 2000s and helped launch a wave of similar stories in novels, films, and TV. It arguably set the stage for a more realistic and intense style of storytelling. The story presents a shocking mystery: a deadly event wipes out every mammal with a Y chromosome. This leaves women to rebuild society while facing the very real possibility of humanity’s end. The only survivors are Yorick Brown, a somewhat clumsy young man, and his monkey, Ampersand. Although the premise of Y: The Last Man is compelling, attempts to adapt it into a live-action show have consistently failed.

The SaGa Frontier series has remained popular over time because it consistently reinvents itself. While the series includes two main games, SaGa Frontier 2 really stood out when it was released and is often considered one of the best action RPGs for the original PlayStation.

Comic C’moa, a digital manga platform run by NTT Solmare Corporation, recently revealed the winners of its “Everyone’s Choice!! Digital Comic Awards 2026.” Readers chose their favorite manga from 100 titles suggested by different publishers. More than three million votes were submitted between September 22nd and November 30th, 2025, and the winning manga are expected to be the most popular releases of the year.

As a huge Star Wars fan, I was really intrigued by that Mandalorian & Grogu Super Bowl ad, and Variety just dropped a fascinating article about it.
