As a big fan of shows like The Shield and Sons of Anarchy, I was really intrigued when I heard about this new series created by Kurt Sutter. It’s a little concerning he left a few weeks before they finished filming the first season, but honestly, I’m still optimistic. The guy’s a proven storyteller – he’s only really missed once with The Bastard Executioner, and even then, some people think that show deserved a longer run. I’m hoping this new one will be another win for him!

However, this strategy doesn’t always work well. If a streaming service releases too much new content too fast, good shows can easily get overlooked. For example, Netflix has some highly-rated thriller series – even ones starring popular actors like Emma Stone and Naomi Watts – that haven’t gotten the attention they deserve.

Sony Pictures is planning a new Men in Black movie, following the successful revivals of the Bad Boys franchise with ‘Bad Boys For Life’ and ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’. While no actors are confirmed yet, Chris Bremner, who wrote ‘Bad Boys For Life’, is writing the script for the fifth installment.

Chris Bremner, who wrote the screenplay for Bad Boys for Life, is currently working on a fifth Men in Black movie. However, Will Smith’s participation isn’t confirmed yet. Sony intends to feature his character, Agent J, in the initial draft of the script, and Smith will decide whether to reprise his role after reviewing it.

The new Game of Thrones spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, follows the adventures of Sir Duncan the Tall, nicknamed “Dunk” (played by Peter Claffey), and his young apprentice, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). The show will debut on HBO Max in January, and plans for a second season are already underway.

As of today, Predator: Badlands has earned $174.4 million around the world. This success has brought the long-standing competition between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone back into the spotlight. However, Predator: Badlands has now surpassed Creed’s earnings, having made $174.1 million during its time in cinemas. Both films significantly outperformed the original Predator, which earned $98 million worldwide in 1987 (not adjusted for inflation).

Gillian Anderson, known for The X-Files, and Lena Headey, famous for Game of Thrones, star in a Western set in the past. They play enemies battling over land, and their conflict comes to a dramatic head in the first season finale of Abandons. In a conversation with Tatiana Hullender from ScreenRant, Anderson and Headey talked about the surprising ending of the episode and shared their hopes for their characters if the show continues with a second season.

I was looking at Google’s year-end report – you know, the one showing what everyone was searching for in 2025. They highlighted the anime that really took off in Japan this year, and while some of the usual suspects made the list, I was surprised to see Netflix’s The Summer Hikaru Died in the top 10.
