Okay, so picture this: I’m reading the Dunk and Egg story, and the part that really got me was when Ser Duncan, after getting his shield fixed by Steely Pate, walks onto the tourney grounds. I was totally surprised, just like Dunk, to see a bunch of common folk gathered there, wanting to give him their blessings and thank him for… well, everything he’d done. It was a really cool moment, and it just showed how much they admired him.
