AMC’s latest earnings report has worried fans of The Walking Dead: Dead City. While the show and Daryl Dixon were both renewed, only Daryl Dixon is currently scheduled for release in 2026. This is concerning because filming for season three of Dead City finished in late 2025, and many viewers were anticipating its release this year, even though AMC didn’t officially announce a 2026 date.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is the next animated superhero film in the Spider-Verse series, directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson. It continues the stories from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and is currently scheduled to be released by Sony Pictures in 2027.

As a total Netflix addict, I’ve been keeping busy this month with all the new releases – things like Unfamiliar, Salvador, Lead Children, and How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. Honestly, there’s just so much! If you’re like me and can’t possibly watch it all, I’d say this 6-part action thriller is the one you absolutely shouldn’t miss.

I’m so hyped for the new Marvel event this summer, Queen in Black! It’s going to be huge, building on the awesome stuff Al Ewing and Carlos Gómez have been doing with Venom and the new Knull series. Basically, Hela is going to try and take over everything in the Marvel Universe – talk about a power grab!

Recently, filmmakers have been experimenting with unique points of view in horror. Steven Soderbergh’s Presence tells a story through the eyes of a ghost revisiting its past, while In a Violent Nature shows a terrifying killing spree from the killer’s perspective. And Good Boy offers a truly different take, presenting a horror story through the eyes of a dog trying to protect its owner from a sinister force.

I’m a huge fan of 60 Days In, and what makes it so gripping is how secretive the whole operation is! They tell the inmates and most of the guards it’s just another documentary about prison life, but really, they’re hiding undercover participants. These people go in with fake names and backstories, and they’re specifically trained on how to blend in and interact with everyone. Honestly, with a setup like that, you know there have been some crazy, unpredictable things happen during filming!

The film will feature Paul Mescal playing Paul McCartney, Harrison Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison. Each movie will focus on the band’s story as seen through the eyes of one of its members.

The new series, Bosch: Start of Watch, is a prequel set in 1991 Los Angeles. It follows a young Harry Bosch (played by Cameron Monaghan, known from Gotham and Shameless) as he begins his career as a police officer. Omari Hardwick and Ariana Guerra have also been cast, with Guerra portraying a possible romantic partner for Bosch.
