Initially, Kang the Conqueror, a powerful villain who spans across time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), was planned to be the next major antagonist. However, following the conviction of actor Jonathan Majors on charges of third-degree harassment and assault, Marvel decided to abandon the Kang character altogether. Instead, they opted for Doctor Doom, a longtime Fantastic Four character, which also signifies Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU.
In my opinion, it’s possible but currently, there seems to be a noticeable burnout associated with these projects, and those in charge of driving this genre’s modern film adaptations bear a significant share of the blame for this fatigue.

Coincidentally, the same week, Colbert criticized CBS for settling a lawsuit with the President regarding a 60 Minutes story and paying $16M towards his Presidential Library. He referred to the money as a “big fat bribe” and employed vivid language to express his dissatisfaction with his superiors.
