The Smashing Machine tells the story of Mark Kerr, a famous wrestler and mixed martial artist. He had a successful MMA career, winning two UFC Heavyweight Tournament Championships and earning other honors. The film also explores his personal challenges, including struggles with substance abuse and difficult relationships. Fans of MMA will likely find it very compelling. Luckily, this isn’t the only movie that covers similar ground.

As a big movie fan, I remember when the first Barbie film, Barbie in the Nutcracker, came out in 2001. Since then, the series has really gone through some changes! If you think about it, you can divide it into different periods. First, there were those classic fairy tale movies from the early 2000s, then a big phase of musicals and princess stories in the mid-2000s. The 2010s saw a bit of a fantasy makeover, and now we’re in this really cool action-adventure era. It’s great to see Barbie focusing on her career now – go girl! I love it!

It’s a creepy and disturbing narrative that rightly draws comparisons to Twin Peaks and Stranger Things, but many viewers are unaware that the most frightening aspect of Wayward is its basis in a real-life event.

I recently watched Deep Water, the 2022 film adapted from the novel by Patricia Highsmith – the same brilliant mind behind mysteries like The Talented Mr. Ripley and Strangers on a Train. Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck lead this erotic psychological thriller. Originally planned for cinemas, the movie ended up premiering directly on Hulu due to several delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s been available there ever since.
