The latest design sketches for “Captain America 4,” or Captain America: Brave New World, offer a glimpse into the appearance of Rosa Salazar’s antagonist character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The fourth installment of Captain America, titled Captain America: New World Order, made its debut in U.S. cinemas this February. Directed by Julius Onah, the Marvel Studios production features Anthony Mackie portraying Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Giancarlo Esposito as Seth Voelker/Sidewinder, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, who assumes multiple roles including Red Hulk.
2019’s Alita: Battle Angel featured Salazar in the role of the title character, but her scenes as the villainous Diamondback were ultimately cut from the film’s final version. Similarly, Seth Rollins was cast as a member of the Serpent Society, but his scenes were also eliminated, as Esposito’s character took over their roles during reshoots.

On Instagram, artist Michael Blackbear Uwandi unveiled a sneak peek at the concept art depicting the character of Captain America in Salazar’s upcoming movie number 4. Take a look at it here: [insert image]
The caption says ‘Serpent Society: A Brave New World for Captain America.’ I experimented with a few initial designs for Diamondback, keeping the tech-inspired style in mind. These designs, including this one, were intended to explore various aspects and styles for the character. The removable snakeskin gas mask was designed to detach around the muzzle, resulting in a look that’s more similar to her original design.
Marvel’s Captain America 4 is now streaming on Disney+.
The storyline for the film presents Anthony Mackie reprising his role as Sam Wilson, now officially assuming the role of Captain America. Following a meeting with the newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam becomes embroiled in a global crisis. He must unravel the mystery behind a sinister worldwide scheme before the true architect can ignite chaos across the globe.
