Bridgerton Season 4 Cast & Returning Character Guide

Fans have been waiting for Benedict Bridgerton to find love, and season 4 of Bridgerton introduces several new faces to help make that happen. While he hasn’t seemed interested in marriage before, the latest season of the Netflix series shows him potentially falling for a mysterious woman – the Lady in Silver – after meeting her at a masquerade ball hosted by his mother, Violet.

Unbeknownst to him, the woman who captured his attention is actually Sophie Baek, one of the housemaids. Just like Benedict, Sophie didn’t anticipate finding love at the ball; she simply wanted a brief respite from her difficult job serving the demanding Lady Araminta and her spoiled daughters.

Season 4 of Bridgerton brings back many familiar faces, including Eloise, a close friend and fellow independent spirit, and last season’s couple, Colin and Penelope Bridgerton. As always, Bridgerton will feature multiple love stories, promising plenty of romance.

Luke Thompson As Benedict Bridgerton

Born: July 4, 1988

I recently discovered Luke Thompson, and wow, what a talent! He’s originally from Southampton, but grew up in France, and really honed his craft on the English stage. You can tell he’s a Shakespeare pro – he actually started his career playing Lysander in a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Globe Theatre. It’s clear that classical training has given him a fantastic foundation.

I first noticed Thompson when he was on TV in In the Club – he played Simon, and I really liked him! Then he was in Dunkirk, which was amazing, and he was a small but memorable part of that huge movie. But honestly, he really blew up when he played Benedict in Bridgerton. That’s the role everyone knows him for, and it’s easy to see why – he was fantastic!

Benedict Bridgerton, the second son, prefers a life of freedom and pleasure to marriage and responsibility. But when he becomes captivated by a mysterious woman known as the Lady in Silver, he begins a quest to find her—much to his mother’s approval. He also finds himself increasingly attracted to Sophie, one of the housemaids.

Yerin Ha As Sophie Baek

Born: January 4, 1988

I first discovered Yerin Ha when she was in Reef Break – she played a character called Techie Jane, and I thought she was fantastic! It’s cool to learn she’s actually from Sydney, Australia, even though her parents are from South Korea. Then, I really became a fan when she starred as Kwan Ha in the Halo series on Paramount+ – she’s a really talented actress and I’m excited to see what she does next.

Ha is also well-known for her television roles as Alice in Bad Behaviour and Young Kasha in Dune: Prophecy. She gained recognition in film for her performance as Tracey in the 2022 Australian horror movie, Sissy.

Sophie Baek is the central romantic interest in season 4 of Bridgerton. Though she works as a maid, Sophie is clever and capable, and her strong personality quickly attracts Benedict. Despite feeling a connection with him, she’s cautious about opening up and protecting her heart.

Katie Leung As Araminta Gun

Born: August 8, 1987

Katie Leung, born in Dundee, Scotland, is best known for playing Cho Chang in the Harry Potter films. She first appeared as Harry Potter’s love interest in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and continued in the role throughout the movie series.

Leung started her television career with a guest appearance as Hsui Tai in an episode of Agatha Christie’s Poirot. She’s since become a regular on several shows, including The Wheel of Time, where she plays Yasicca. Additionally, Leung is a talented voice actor, having voiced the character Caitlyn Kiramman in 14 episodes of the animated series Arcane.

Lady Araminta Gun is a strong-willed widow in season 4 of Bridgerton. Determined to improve her family’s social standing, she’s focused on finding suitable husbands for her daughters during the social season. She runs her household very strictly, and is especially critical of her daughter, Sophie.

Michelle Mao As Rosamund Li

Born: December 22, 1998

Michelle Mao, an American actress who is still gaining recognition, has already appeared in over 40 projects, according to IMDb. Her first role was as Maggie in the 2017 short film Irrevocable, and she initially built her career with small roles in various short films. More recently, in 2025, she played Smitty in the romantic fantasy drama A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, alongside Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell.

I’ve been watching Rosamund Li closely this season, and she’s definitely Lady Araminta’s favorite daughter. She’s really focused on finding a husband, and it’s pretty clear she has her sights set on Benedict Bridgerton. Honestly, she reminds me a lot of her mother – she’s very composed and seems to be playing the whole season like a game of chess, carefully planning every move.

Isabella Wei As Posy Li

Born: May 1, 2004

Isabella Wei is an actress born in Hong Kong. While she may not have as many acting credits as some of her co-stars on Bridgerton, her work is notable. She began her onscreen career with the Netflix thriller 1899, playing the character Ling Yi, and later appeared in the Keira Knightley spy series Black Doves as Kai-Ming. Wei also played Zadie in the 2024 remake of the film The Crow.

Posy Li is the youngest daughter of Lady Araminta and is just beginning to be introduced to society, along with her sister. Despite often being overlooked at home, she remains cheerful and is notably kinder than her sister, Rosamund.

• Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton – Bailey plays the happily married Viscount Anthony Bridgerton. Since leading Bridgeton season 2, Bailey’s career has exploded, and the actor has starred in several recent blockbusters, including both Wicked movies and Jurassic World Rebirth.
• Simone Ashley as Kate Bridgerton – The self-assured wife of Anthony, Viscountess Kate Bridgerton (née Sharma) will return in season 4. Ashley is also known for her appearance in Netflix’s Sex Education.
• Victor Alli as John Stirling – Introduced in season 3, Alli plays Lord John Stirling, Francesca’s introverted husband. Alli’s other credits include Gangs of London and 2022’s Death on the Nile.
• Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury – Lady Danbury will continue to lend her formidable presence as the queen’s most trusted confidant in season 4. Besides Bridgerton, Andoh’s most notable credits are productions on her side of the pond, including Doctor Who, Casualty, and EastEnders.
• Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown – Andrews returns to Bridgerton to titillate dear gentle viewers as the voice of Lady Whistledown. An iconic acting veteran, Julie Andrews is famous for starring in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music.
• Lorraine Ashbourne as Mrs. Varley – Ashbourne plays Mrs. Varley, Lady Featherington’s long-suffering housekeeper. The actress notably played Barbara Castle in The Crown and loaned her voice to The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
• Masali Baduza as Michaela Stirling – John’s cousin, Michaela Stirling, returns in Bridgerton season 4. Baduza’s other film and TV credits include Noughts + Crosses and The Woman King.
• Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Bridgerton – Coughlan vacates the Bridgerton spotlight as Penelope Bridgerton, now out as Lady Whistledown and enjoying life as a mother and happily married woman. The Irish actress is also known for her role in Derry Girls.
• Hannah Dodd as Francesca Stirling – The newly married and most introverted Bridgerton sibling, Francesca, returns to Bridgerton. Dodd’s other noteworthy credits include Eternals and Enola Holmes 2.
• Daniel Francis as Lord Marcus Anderson – Lord Marcus Anderson is Lady Danbury’s dashing brother who catches Violet Bridgerton’s eye. Francis has also appeared in Once Upon a Time and The Wheel of Time.
• Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton – Gemmell returns to the role of Bridgerton family matriarch Violet. Like other British veteran actors in the cast, Gemmell’s credits are mostly from her native England, including Casualty, EastEnders, and Penny Dreadful.
• Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton – The youngest Bridgerton, Hyacinth regales Bridgerton season 4 with her sunny presence. Hunt has also appeared in the TV series Cursed and Mix Tape.
• Martins Imhangbe as Will Mondrich – Retired boxer Will Mondrich is still adjusting to aristocracy in Bridgerton season 4. A celebrated stage actor, Imhangbe has few screen credits, with his most notable being a recorded theatrical production of The Tragedy of King Richard the Second.
• Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton – Jessie’s Eloise Bridgerton continues to remain as socially defiant as ever, but her chosen path may come at a cost. The actress’s other credits include Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and Toxic Town.

• Will Tilston as Gregory Bridgerton – The youngest Bridgerton son, Gregory returns from his studies at Eton College. Tilston notably portrayed a young version of the title role in Goodbye Christopher Robin.
• Polly Walker as Portia Featherington – Portia Featherington is back for more tacky misadventures in Bridgerton season 4. British audiences will recognize Walker from her roles in Prisoners’ Wives and Line of Duty.
