Brett Goldstein Stars In Risqué Comedy Series Escorted On Prime Video

Brett Goldstein is famous for his role as Roy Kent in the popular Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, and he’ll be back for the fourth season. But he’s also expanding his work with a new, different kind of comedy series on Prime Video. In addition to Ted Lasso, Goldstein co-created, wrote, and stars in another Apple TV+ comedy, Shrinking, playing the character Louis.

Goldstein now leads the new Prime Video comedy series, Escorted, as its star, a showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Prime Video has officially ordered a full season of eight half-hour episodes.

Escorted follows the story of Goldstein as a divorced dad in New York City who unexpectedly finds himself working as a male escort. The film examines the difficulties of raising a child with an ex-partner, the possibility of finding love again, and whether true connection can be bought.

Brian Gallivan shares showrunning duties with Jason Goldstein on Shrinking. Cooper Wehde and Josh Senior, who worked on The Bear, and Molly Mandel from Bad Thoughts are also producers on the show. Warner Bros. Television is the main studio, with Amazon MGM Studios co-producing Escorted.

Bill Lawrence’s deal with Prime Video is noteworthy, especially considering his previous successful partnerships with Apple TV. As production continues on Ted Lasso season four, Shrinking returns for a third season on January 28th. The critically acclaimed series, starring Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, and Jessica Williams, will also feature Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox in its new season.

While Escorted will likely feel very different in style and substance from shows like Ted Lasso and Shrinking, early details suggest it will still be a heartwarming and hopeful story. This means it might actually share more similarities with those shows than you’d expect.

Brett Goldstein is taking on more and more projects, and he’s currently working on a new romantic comedy for Netflix called Office Romance. He stars alongside Jennifer Lopez in the film, which he co-wrote with Joe Kelly, who also co-created Ted Lasso. The movie also features a strong supporting cast including Bradley Whitford, Betty Gilpin, Edward James Olmos, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, and Jodie Whittaker.

Brett Goldstein is also starring in the upcoming drama film, At the Sea, with Amy Adams and several other well-known actors. Currently in post-production, the film adds to Goldstein’s growing success in both acting and filmmaking. His new project, Escorted, now available on Prime Video, is expected to be another significant achievement for him.
