Fans of the classic Brendan Fraser adventure movies The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor can now stream the entire trilogy in one place, starting today, April 1st.

The Mummy films will soon be available on HBO Max. This comes before the release of a new Mummy movie that seems to be focusing more on scary, classic horror. Because the new film offers a fresh perspective, it’s a great time to rewatch the original Mummy movies, which were incredibly popular in the early 2000s.
The Mummy Trilogy Comes to HBO Max
Released in 1926, The Mummy stars Brendan Fraser as Rick O’Connell, a charming adventurer and ex-soldier in the French Foreign Legion. When Jonathan Carnahan (John Hannah) pilfers an Egyptian relic from O’Connell and shows it to his sister, Evelyn (Rachel Weisz), a knowledgeable Egyptologist, the three find their fates intertwined. Their quest to discover the legendary city of Hamunaptra accidentally unleashes the powerful and furious mummy Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo).
Okay, so the sequel, The Mummy Returns, jumps ahead seven years. Rick and Evelyn are now married with a son, Alex, and life seems good… until this cult obsessed with Imhotep shows up and kidnaps Evelyn! They’re trying to bring the mummy back to life, which, naturally, throws the whole O’Connell family into danger all over again. And this time, it’s not just about Imhotep – we’ve got another powerful force entering the fray, this legendary warrior…
Released seven years after the original, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is set in 1946 and follows Alex (Luke Ford) as a young adult. He eventually joins forces with Rick, Evelyn, and Jonathan to battle a powerful new enemy: the immortal Dragon Emperor, Qin Shi Huang (Jet Li).
The Mummy trilogy as a whole made $1.26 billion worldwide. While each movie received worse reviews than the last, they remain enjoyable and make for a lighthearted movie marathon. However, if you’re short on time,…
