A popular sequel to a critically acclaimed Bollywood legal comedy has quickly become a hit on Netflix just weeks after its release. This shows Netflix’s commitment to featuring movies from around the world, particularly India, offering both exclusive titles and a wide range of other films.
Netflix announced that the Bollywood sequel, Jolly LLB 3, has been a huge success on its platform. For the week of November 17th to 23rd, 2025, it was the most popular non-English language movie, racking up 14 million hours of viewing time from over 5.4 million viewers globally.
Jolly LLB 3 is currently the number one movie worldwide, topping charts in nine countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, the Maldives, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Mauritius. It also appears in the top 10 lists of 17 countries, contributing to its global success.
This Bollywood comedy follows the courtroom adventures of two beloved lawyers from previous films: Jolly Mishra (played by Akshay Kumar) and Jolly Tyagi (Arshad Warsi). Critics generally enjoyed the movie, praising its entertainment value, and it performed well in theaters when it was released in September 2025.
What truly sets this film apart is its connection to a highly successful franchise. The first film, Jolly LLB (2013), received five awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. The sequel, Jolly LLB 2 (2017), earned nine nominations and won actor Kumar a Best Male Actor award, as voted by viewers at the Zee Cine Awards.
It’s no surprise that Jolly LLB 3 is doing so well on Netflix’s Top 10, considering how popular Akshay Kumar’s comedies usually are. His leading role and the success of the first two films in the series clearly show how much people worldwide enjoy these movies, and it suggests the film will likely remain popular in the coming weeks.
After quickly becoming a hit on Netflix, Jolly LLB 3 has clearly resonated with viewers around the globe. It’s still too soon to say if it will win awards, like the previous films in the series, but that possibility hasn’t been ruled out. Fortunately, the legal comedy is likely to stay popular for a while.
