The new action thriller, featuring Bob Odenkirk, will be available on Netflix. Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick, co-wrote the script, and David Leitch, who co-directed John Wick, helped produce it.
Starting March 14th, you’ll be able to watch Nobody 2 on Netflix. The film is coming to the streaming service about seven months after its theatrical release, where it didn’t do as well as the first Nobody. The original Nobody made $57.5 million with a $16 million budget, but Nobody 2 only earned $41 million despite costing $25 million to make.
Bob Odenkirk’s Family Vacation Was Ruined in Nobody 2
The sequel to Nobody, titled Nobody 2, picks up four years after the first film. Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch, a seemingly ordinary suburban husband and father. After accidentally angering the Russian mob in the 2021 movie, Hutch still owes them $30 million and is trying to pay off his debt by carrying out a constant series of assignments targeting criminals around the world.
Hutch and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen), are growing distant because they’re both so busy with work. To try and reconnect, they decide to take their children on a quick trip to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark – a place Hutch fondly remembers from his own childhood vacations.
In the movie Nobody 2, Hutch unexpectedly lands in trouble when he arrives in the quiet town of Plummerville. He quickly becomes a target for a crooked theme park owner, a dishonest sheriff, and a dangerously violent crime boss – portrayed by Sharon Stone – who is unlike anyone he’s ever faced.
Timo Tjahjanto directed Nobody 2, taking over from the previous director, Ilya Naishuller. The film also featured a supporting cast including RZA, Colin Salmon, Gage Munroe, Paisley Cadorath, Christopher Lloyd, John Ortiz, and Colin Hanks.
Even though it didn’t make a lot of money in theaters, the action sequel has been well-received by critics. It currently has a 76% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is close to the 83% rating the first movie earned in 2021.
Bob Odenkirk Has a New Action Movie Coming Soon
Although a third Nobody movie seems unlikely, a new action film called Normal is coming to theaters next month. It features Bob Odenkirk as Ulysses, a man who takes on the role of temporary sheriff in the quiet town of Normal, Minnesota. But after a bank robbery, Ulysses discovers a hidden criminal network operating throughout the entire town.
The cast of Normal includes Henry Winkler, Lena Headey, Reena Jolly, Ryan Allen, Billy MacLellan, Brendan Fletcher, Peter Shinkoda, and Jess McLeod. Ben Wheatley, known for directing Meg 2: The Trench with Jason Statham, is the director.
Nobody 2 arrives on Netflix on Mar. 14.
