The star of many action films is back for a sequel to his hit movie, The Beekeeper 2, and fans are incredibly excited. Now that Amazon MGM Studios has taken over the project, filming has finished. Director Timo Tjahjanto shared a sneak peek on X (formerly Twitter) and hinted at what viewers can expect.
Director Timo Tjahjanto, known for his action films like The Night Comes for Us and The Shadow Strays, announced on X that filming for The Beekeeper 2 has finished. He shared photos from the set, including the clapperboard, a jar of honey (a nod to Jason Statham’s character, Adam Clay), a hat with the message “Protect the Hive,” and a chilling image of a box containing two severed fingers.
I really enjoyed The Beekeeper when it came out last year. It’s a super intense action thriller about a guy who goes on a serious revenge mission, and it turns out he used to work for this secret, incredibly powerful group called “Beekeepers.” It was a big hit, making over $152 million worldwide! Critics gave it a solid 71% on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences loved it – a whopping 92% rating. Definitely a fun ride, and Jason Statham is fantastic as always.
