What did Tom Hiddleston say about Avengers: Doomsday?

At the end of Loki Season 2, Loki took his place as the God of Stories, responsible for protecting and maintaining the different timelines. Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie.

During an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz, Tom Hiddleston remained secretive about the plot of the upcoming Avengers movie, playfully avoiding specific details. He did acknowledge he would be involved, but then jokingly said, “You’ll have to wait and see what happens next.”

Hiddleston shared that he had the opportunity to portray Loki in new and exciting ways, doing things with the character he hadn’t been able to before.

Hiddleston explained that because ‘Doomsday’ had such a big cast, the filmmakers often shot several scenes simultaneously using different teams and actors. This resulted in some strange and unexpected encounters for Hiddleston with his fellow cast members.

Hiddleston shared how special it was to be part of the cast. He explained that to save time and money, they often filmed two scenes at once with different groups of actors. He recalled moments on the studio lot where he’d see other actors and feel incredibly lucky to be there.

Tom Hiddleston is back for the new Avengers movie, along with several other popular actors. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America (Sam Wilson), Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Cyclops.

Robert Downey Jr. is back with Marvel, but this time he won’t be playing Iron Man. He’s taking on the role of the classic Marvel villain, Doctor Doom (also known as Victor von Doom).

The upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday, will be directed by the Russo Brothers, who also directed the previous two Avengers films. It’s set to be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
