A recent rumor suggests that the full cast of “Avengers: Doomsday” won’t be revealed until the movie comes out next year. While Marvel Studios announced over 20 actors joining Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom in March 2025, they hinted that more cast members might be added later.
Avengers: Doomsday rumored to keep a few surprises secret
During a recent Q&A on The Cosmic Circus, scooper Alex Perez reported that Marvel is keeping the identities of some actors in *Avengers: Doomsday* secret until the film is released.
When asked about potential unannounced characters in *Doomsday*, Perez confirmed there are some, and stated the intention is to keep them secret until the movie is released.
He explained that even if he revealed who was being considered, we’d likely spend the next year wondering if it would actually happen. He added that most of the unconfirmed characters have already been the subject of rumors from him, other insiders, and online personalities.
Everyone is really looking forward to the movie *Doomsday* next year, so it’s not surprising that Marvel Studios has been secretive about who’s in it. They’re famous for keeping details under wraps!

The upcoming Avengers film, currently titled ‘Doomsday,’ is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay. The movie will star Robert Downey Jr., along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, and Letitia Wright as Black Panther.
Avengers: Doomsday premieres in US theaters on December 18, 2026.
