Dark Horse Comics announced that the second volume of Avatar: The Last Airbender Chibis will be released on July 21, 2026. This new book, titled Avatar: The Last Airbender Chibis Volume 2 — Sokka’s Boomerang Class, is perfect for fans and younger readers.

Written by popular children’s author Kelly Leigh Miller and beautifully illustrated by Ruka Ito, with lettering by Comicraft, Avatar: The Last Airbender Chibis Volume 2 — Sokka’s Boomerang Class delivers another fun and charming story set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Just like the first volume, this book was created with help from Tim Hedrick, who also wrote for the original animated series.
In the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender Chibis Volume 2 — Sokka’s Boomerang Class from Dark Horse Comics, Sokka, who doesn’t have bending abilities like his friends, proves his skills with a boomerang. After some encouragement, Aang, Katara, Toph, and Zuko participate in a fun and surprising ‘Boomerang School’ taught by Sokka!
Written by Miller and Hedrick, with illustrations by Diana Sim and Christianne Gillendardo-Goureau, the first Avatar: The Last Airbender Chibis book introduces a new generation to the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Despite being delayed for almost two years, Avatar: The Last Airbender Chibis Volume 1 — Aang’s Unfreezing Day was very popular with young readers and also appealed to existing fans who wanted to share the series with their children.
Besides new books for younger audiences, fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender have two exciting things to anticipate. First, a new animated movie will be released in theaters on [date]. This film will follow Aang and his friends as young adults, continuing their story with a brand new adventure.
