The large and talented cast of For All Mankind has made it one of Apple TV+’s biggest hits. While the show features actors like Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, and Shantel VanSanten, it’s not afraid to change things up over its many seasons. Most of the original characters have had satisfying conclusions to their stories – recently, even Ed Baldwin (Kinnaman) – but one character hasn’t received the same thoughtful ending.

The movie takes place just before the D-Day invasion of Normandy and centers on James Stagg, a meteorologist, and General Eisenhower. Eisenhower brings in Stagg to verify the weather forecast for the attack. Problems arise when Stagg predicts much worse conditions than other forecasters, forcing the Allied commanders to make a difficult decision: postpone the invasion and risk being discovered, or proceed despite the dangerous weather.

A new series is launching a fresh Marvel world centered around Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a detective in 1930s New York. He used to be a vigilante known as The Spider, and a dangerous case forces him to take on that identity again. This brings him into conflict with updated versions of classic villains like Sandman, Tombstone, Silvermane, and Megawatt, among others.

The show Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War picks up Jack Ryan’s story, though it significantly changes how his previous adventures ended. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, which first appeared on Prime Video in 2018, didn’t consistently follow established storylines – much like Ryan and his team often bent the rules when it came to international law.

Marvel has given fans their first look at the upcoming Midnight X-Men comic, including some preview artwork. According to a recent announcement, the new series, written by Jonathan Hickman (known for House of X and Ultimate Spider-Man) and illustrated by Matteo Della Fonte (Nova: Centurion), is part of the larger ‘Midnight Universe.’ A special variant cover inspired by movies, created by Björn Barends, was also revealed.
