In the most recent installment of the Peacemaker: The Official Podcast featuring James Gunn, it was pointed out that the character portrayed by John Cena harbors resentment towards both Batman and other popular superheroes in his own universe, owing to their widespread fame.

In an interview with CoStar News back in August 2025, Dennis Speigel, CEO of International Theme Park Services, indicated that while they’ve opened new attractions and initiated expansion plans, the recovery process is far from over. He estimated it might take another 2 to 3 years for parks to reach their previous attendance and revenue levels before the lockdown. He attributed this slow progress to challenges such as severe weather conditions in 2025, ongoing economic uncertainties due to tariffs, and a decrease in consumer spending.

Five years after “The Devil Made Me Do It,” the Warrens (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), who were contemplating retirement, encounter the Smurl family, who have a mirror with an evil history connected to the Warrens’ daughter Judy (Mia Tomlinson). According to TopMob’s review of “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” Eric Eisenberg concludes that the movie offers a fitting end to the series. However, returning to the haunted house storyline does not deliver the same impact as previous films. He assigns it 3.5 out of 5 stars, expressing this in his review:

“The Conjuring: Last Rites” effectively brings the series to a satisfying conclusion, but its focus on the traditional haunted house narrative doesn’t quite recapture the magic of earlier installments.

In Episode 3 of Peacemaker Season 2, titled “Another Rick Up My Sleeve,” we saw the comeback of Joel Kinnaman’s character, Rick Flag Jr. A dedicated fan has proposed a theory that this character might join the DC Universe by traversing dimensions at the conclusion of Season 2.

The sneak peek for Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4 suggests an exciting plot point in the upcoming episode. Entitled “Need I Say Door,” this episode was guided by Peter Sollett based on a screenplay by Gunn. In the opening scene, John Cena’s character Chris Smith/Peacemaker escapes with Eagly as law enforcement approaches. Red St. Wild exclaims, “I’ve got you,” presumably for Eagly. Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. converses with Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt and appears to extend an opportunity for her to rejoin A.R.G.U.S.’s good books. This proposition seems intriguing to Harcourt, who eagerly accepts it.

This brief yet stirring scene, which took me off guard, might not be the most impactful in the 2025 action movie that everyone should catch up on, but it does offer a crucial instance that echoes the film’s central themes. Moreover, its presence revealed an intriguing fact about one of my long-admired actors I was previously unaware of.
