I recently saw Guillermo del Toro’s new movie at the Chicago International Film Festival and thought it was good. While I enjoyed it, it wasn’t a perfect retelling of Mary Shelley’s original story. I read the book in college and don’t remember every detail, but I did notice some differences in the plot.

AMC Networks is hosting its yearly holiday event, “Best Christmas Ever,” on November 29th, and it will include the classic Ghostbusters movies. Last Saturday night, the Daily Mail published a story claiming David Harbour mistreated his on-screen daughter, sparking a lot of discussion online. People quickly pointed out the report relied solely on a friend of Harbour’s ex-wife as a source. So far, neither Netflix nor the actress involved has confirmed the claims.

I recently learned from an interview with The Direct about a really interesting idea director Trachtenberg had while developing Predator: Badlands. He was brainstorming ways to make the Predator the hero of the story, and his initial thought process involved, well, Nazis. He figured everyone agrees Nazis are the bad guys, so it could work! He shared this during the interview, and I found it a fascinating peek into the film’s development.

The process of choosing actors for the DC Universe is usually kept private, despite James Gunn frequently announcing on social media which actors aren’t being considered for roles. According to actor Alan Ritchson, he’s now confirmed to be joining the DCU cast, and the main question now is what character he’ll be playing. He shared this information with ScreenRant.

The show doesn’t need to ignore Bobby’s storyline, but it should explore other plots that have been put on hold since the tragic events. Before the loss of a main character, a potential romance between Buck and Eddie was a promising storyline. However, season 9, episode 5 of 9-1-1 reveals that this relationship won’t be developing anytime soon.

Death by Lightning is a limited series that tells the largely untold story of James Garfield, the 20th President of the United States, and his connection to his assassin, Charles Guiteau. The series, starring Garfield and Guiteau, has been praised for the powerful performances of its lead actors and for being a compelling historical drama based on true events.
