The show’s second season wasn’t as strong as the first. While The Last of Us is still a very good zombie series, it made several missteps that prevent it from being the best in the genre. Other shows have successfully adapted the zombie genre to television even more effectively.
Despite attempts to distinguish the two franchises on film in the 2010s – with new Alien movies ignoring parts of the Alien vs. Predator story and multiple Predator reboots – the crossover continued in other formats like books, comics, and video games. Now, another crossover appears to be in the works.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, the creators of the popular Netflix series American Vandal, will be leading the new Jimmy Olsen spinoff series as executive producers and showrunners. The series doesn’t have a title yet. The report also reveals that Gorilla Grodd, the super-intelligent ape, will return to live-action after previously appearing in the Arrowverse, and will play a significant role.
In September 2024, Dawn Richard, age 42, filed a lawsuit against Sean Combs, detailing claims of abuse during the production of Making the Band. Richard alleges Combs verbally abused her, forced her through exhausting rehearsals that harmed her health, and sexually assaulted her while she was nude at a recording studio. She also claims she witnessed Combs abusing his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Combs has denied these allegations through his legal counsel.
