Dwayne Johnson, known for playing Dr. Xander “Smolder” Bravestone in the popular Jumanji movies, announced on Instagram that filming for Jumanji 4 has begun. He shared photos and videos showing the cast at a script read in Los Angeles, confirming that Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan will return as Professor Sheldon Oberon, Franklin Finbar, and Ruby Roundhouse. Johnson said they were all laughing so much during the read-through that their jaws hurt! The script was written by director Jake Kasdan, along with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.

I’m so excited about Spider-Man: Brand New Day! It’s amazing that they’re including Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, finally bringing him into the MCU movies. And the rumors about Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk going back to his more savage side are really intriguing. Because this story seems like it’s going to be focused on street-level action, I have a feeling the Punisher will be a major player, and I can’t wait to see how Spider-Man and the Punisher interact – that first glimpse was fantastic!

I’m so excited for The Simpsons! They’re airing a special 800th episode on Sunday, February 15th, 2025, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time on Fox. And get this – right after that, at 8:30 PM Eastern, they’re finishing up Season 37 with the finale! Fox just announced this as part of their plans for the winter of 2026, and I’m already marking my calendar!

During filming of Spider-Man 4 in Glasgow, Scotland, photos surfaced showing Spider-Man (Peter Parker) standing on top of a high-tech vehicle driven by the Punisher (Frank Castle). This is the first glimpse of the two characters together in the new film. Because the scene appears to be an early chase, many believe Spider-Man and the Punisher will meet near the beginning of the movie.

The second season of Dune: Prophecy will feature returning actors Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, and others, along with new cast members Indira Varma (known for Coldwater and The Night Manager), Ashley Walters (Top Boy), and Tom Hollander (The White Lotus). While details about their characters haven’t been released, the story continues to unfold 10,000 years before the events of the original Dune books and films.

Taylor Sheridan is a major force in television, currently involved in numerous projects. His recent deal, which ends his long relationship with Paramount in 2029, is worth over a billion dollars – an amount most TV writers can only imagine. Interestingly, Sheridan often doesn’t use a traditional writers’ room for his shows, and this is particularly noticeable in the second season of Landman. While the first season of Landman had its issues, it showed potential. Billy Bob Thornton did a solid job as a knowledgeable businessman dealing with the harsh realities of the oil industry and human nature. However, Season 2 feels less like a unique show and more like a rehash of Yellowstone – Sheridan’s breakout hit – struggling to find its own place within his expanding television universe.

In A Merry Little Ex-Mas, Kate (Alicia Silverstone) is navigating a recent divorce and hoping for one final, peaceful Christmas with her family before she moves away to pursue her career. Her plans are thrown into chaos when her ex-husband, Everett (Oliver Hudson), introduces them to his new, much younger girlfriend, leading to plenty of funny moments.
