Reviews for Predator: Badlands have been mostly positive, though, like any big movie, there’s still some criticism. It has an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a strong 95% audience score, with viewers praising its fun humor, the way it expands the Predator universe, and its thrilling action. The film significantly builds out the world of Predator, bringing details – like the term ‘Yautja’ – to the big screen that were previously found mostly in comics and video games.

I’m really excited about RJ Decker! It’s a new crime drama based on Carl Hiaasen’s novel Double Whammy, which I loved. The show follows a guy who used to be a photographer and spent time in prison, and now he’s trying to make a fresh start as a private eye. It’s set in South Florida, and from what I’ve heard, the cases he takes on are totally wild. Plus, he’s working with a really interesting group – his ex-girlfriend who’s still a journalist, her wife who’s a police detective, and this woman from his past who’s a bit of a wildcard. I can’t wait to see how all that plays out!

It’s not uncommon for athletes to turn out to be decent actors, but actors usually struggle to convincingly portray the athletic skills needed for sports roles. However, one actor in the latest season of Ted Lasso is proving to be an exception with their impressive football skills.

While promoting her new thriller, Relay, Lily James shared a surprising family connection. In an interview with The Independent where she discussed fame, privacy, Pamela Anderson, and unexpected career turns, James revealed that her grandmother, actress Helen Horton, was the voice of the ship’s computer, “Mother,” in the movie Alien. That means the iconic, gentle voice fans remember is actually in Lily James’s family!

The 1950s brought a new era for Western films in Hollywood. While films like High Noon began to challenge traditional Western tropes, others, such as the 1953 film Shane, directed by George Stevens and starring Alan Ladd, offered a deeply moving take on the genre. Shane blended classic Western elements with a more modern, thoughtful approach, and it contains what is often considered the greatest speech in Western movie history. Even after seventy-two years, the film’s final words from Shane to Joey remain powerful and offer essential insight into the heart of the gunslinger story.

I’m really bummed to hear that Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is ending after just two seasons! Jeff Sneider reported that while the show, which started in August 2024, is finishing up its second season next month, Paramount actually ordered a bunch more episodes – enough for potential seasons three and four. It’s a shame we won’t get to see those, honestly!

In 1992, young versions of Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid) and Gibbs (Austin Stowell) start investigating the death of a sailor. His body was found staged in his car on the railroad tracks, meant to hide a murder. The episode included appearances from the original actors Mark Harmon and Muse Watson, playing their characters later in life – these scenes effectively framed the story. However, these cameos also sparked conversation about how Austin Stowell portrayed Gibbs.

Fans of Reacher will be happy to hear that Season 4 is nearly finished! Alan Ritchson, who stars in the show, has hinted that it’s the best season so far and recently confirmed that filming is almost complete. We can likely expect the new season to be released in early 2026.

Good news for fans! HBO has confirmed that season 2 of the series will premiere on Friday, November 28th. Each week, a new episode will air on HBO from 10:00 to 10:30 pm Eastern Time, and all episodes will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
