Wendell Pierce, a main cast member throughout all four seasons of Jack Ryan, recently revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Jack Ryan movie is scheduled to come out in May 2026. It’s currently unclear if Amazon will release the film in cinemas or directly on Prime Video.

While few open-world games reach the level of Red Dead Redemption 2, there are some excellent alternatives. If you’ve finished RDR2 and are looking for a similar experience, here are a few often-overlooked open-world games worth checking out.

Abbott Elementary is still a hit, performing well on traditional TV and streaming platforms like Disney+ and Hulu. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s the most-watched comedy this season among adults aged 18-49, averaging 6 million viewers per episode after a week of viewing across all platforms. With consistently strong ratings and positive reviews, Abbott Elementary is a standout show for ABC. As for ABC’s other comedies, Shifting Gears starring Tim Allen and Kat Dennings, and the revival of Scrubs, there’s no news yet on whether they’ll be renewed.

Even now, the themes explored in Paradise Kiss feel relevant, especially considering how progressive its LGBTQ+ characters were for an anime released in 1999. In a genre often filled with fantastical settings and male-focused stories, Paradise Kiss stands out as a key example of josei manga, known for its realistic portrayal of relationships and well-developed female characters.

Protector starts strong for Milla Jovovich, placing her in a familiar action hero role – similar to Liam Neeson in the Taken movies – where she single-handedly fights off anyone threatening her family. However, beyond a few interesting ideas, especially in the ending, the movie doesn’t really stand out from other films in the same genre.

In the new show, Marshals, Kayce is taking a different path, but the series hasn’t been well-received by critics – it currently has the lowest rating of any show connected to Yellowstone. A new creative team is behind the camera too; instead of Yellowstone‘s Taylor Sheridan, Spencer Hudnut from SEAL Team is now in charge, and the show’s more straightforward, case-by-case structure has altered the overall feel. However, the biggest difference Marshals makes is in how it concludes Kayce’s storyline, which began on Yellowstone.

Critics weren’t impressed with the cyberpunk film, and audiences weren’t much happier. With a 32% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 56% audience score, the movie didn’t receive positive reviews. While it’s not the worst film Hugh Jackman has been in, it’s far from his best – perhaps adding a musical element or two could have improved its reception.
