Marvel Zombies Makes MCU History With New Logo

The logo for the Marvel Animation series is yellow with a dark red border. The letters are intentionally jagged and irregular, and the letter ‘O’ in the word ‘ZOMBIES’ is designed as a spiral.

As James Gunn builds the new DC Universe (DCU), he’s confirmed that some characters from the previous DC Extended Universe (DCEU) will return. Peacemaker, played by John Cena, is a key example. The second season of *Peacemaker* has been slowly showing us which events from the old DCEU still matter. After the third episode, which tied into both David Ayer’s *Suicide Squad* and Gunn’s *The Suicide Squad*, I’m really glad I’ve spent so much time watching the DC movies!

The connection became clear when John de Lancie, famous for playing Q in Star Trek, provided the voice for Trelane’s father in Strange New Worlds, a character played by Rhys Darby. Showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Meyers later confirmed this connection in an interview with Inverse. However, writer and producer Julie Beyer, who co-created the Star Trek: Khan podcast and previously worked with David Reed on “Wedding Bell Blues,” revealed that this wasn’t a deliberate plan from the beginning.

The new movie, *28 Years Later: The Bone Temple*, is coming out soon (September 20th), and I’m planning to rewatch one of my favorite films of the year and really analyze some key scenes. It’s a good time for you to do the same! Here’s what makes me want to revisit this story…

Goyer recently told Brandon Davis on YouTube why he didn’t get his hopes up before seeing the movie with his sons, even with all the pre-release buzz. Here’s how he explained it:

Okay, so it’s New York Fashion Week, which basically means celebrity spotting is at its peak! I just saw photos of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen out together at a party hosted by W Magazine and Bloomingdale’s at Eleven Madison Park. They looked super stylish for fall – lots of layers, tall boots, jeans, and tons of scarves – and posed with W Magazine’s editor, Sara Moonves. Check out the pics – they really nailed the autumn vibe!

James Gunn, who is writing, directing, and co-leading DC Studios, says the new Superman movie isn’t exactly a sequel to a previous film. However, it *will* feature characters from the last Superman movie (you can find details on who’s returning here). Bringing these characters back will allow Gunn to wrap up some unanswered questions from that film – questions that even general audiences might not realize were left open. Resolving these mysteries will make the new movie, *Man of Tomorrow*, a much more compelling and fulfilling story.

With so many sketches over the years, it’s tough to choose a favorite from *Saturday Night Live*, even if you focus on a specific cast member or type of sketch, like the fake commercials. But when Kate McKinnon was asked by Andy Samberg (a former *SNL* cast member and co-star from *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*) for Esquire, she immediately knew which *SNL* skit was perfect from beginning to end. She explained:

This new special continues the story from the 2023 adventure, *LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest*, and brings back beloved voice actors like Jodi Benson, Auli’i Cravalho, Mandy Moore, Jennifer Hale, and Richard White.
