As a big fan of the Young Sheldon universe, I’ve really been enjoying Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. It’s basically a continuation of that world, and it’s become incredibly popular – the most-watched comedy on TV right now! The show follows Georgie and Mandy as they navigate married life and their business with the McAllisters, all while still checking in with characters we love from Young Sheldon like Mary, Missy, and Meemaw. It’s mostly been about looking forward, showing us what happens next, but recently they dropped a huge bombshell revelation about Mary that’s really shaken things up!

Jon Favreau brought The Mandalorian to life, a live-action Star Wars series that takes place five years after Return of the Jedi. The show centers on bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they navigate a galaxy still recovering from the Empire’s defeat. It’s become a huge hit on Disney+ and is credited with breathing new life into the Star Wars franchise for both longtime fans and a new generation.

The 1990s were a mixed bag for comics, but often criticized for fueling a frenzy of collecting and speculation with constant special events. Both Marvel and DC focused too much on shock value and copying the style of Image Comics, leading to many problems. Some potentially great series ended up being disappointing, overly silly, and haven’t held up well over time.

Fantasy is more popular than ever, thanks to hit novels like Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series and Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses, which have gained huge followings online. With so many new fantasy books being published, the genre is reaching a wider audience and making reading trendy again. These authors are creating modern classics, experimenting with different fantasy styles and featuring diverse characters, solidifying their place among the best in fantasy literature.

As a movie fan, it’s always fun spotting actors who’ve jumped between the superhero world and the Star Wars galaxy! Some have been leads in both, which is amazing, but even those with smaller parts in either the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Star Wars still managed to create characters we won’t forget. It just goes to show how these franchises build such lasting impressions – those roles become iconic, and those actors become part of movie history.

This is a crucial moment. Picard becomes fixated on hurting the Borg, and it temporarily affects his ability to think clearly. Viewers see a rare side of this usually noble captain, one driven by revenge and personal feelings instead of prioritizing the safety of his crew.

Some attempts to revive classic action movies, like Dredd, The Italian Job, and Casino Royale, are admirable. However, when an action film truly nails every aspect – the story, the writing, even the balance of humor and suspense – it’s best left untouched. Very few action movies reach that level of perfection, but those that do deserve to remain unremade, preserving the quality of the original.
