Given Nicolas Cage’s recent career comeback and Hollywood’s tendency to revive popular franchises, it’s no surprise he’s involved in some projects that play on fans’ fond memories. While the upcoming sequel to Lord of War is welcome news, many have also been hoping for a follow-up to Face/Off. Considering Face/Off is a well-loved action classic, it seems Cage might be focusing on the wrong film.

According to Deadline, the first showing of The Bone Temple received a very positive reaction from viewers, suggesting the series has a bright future. Finishing the 28 Years Later trilogy is already great news, but a reunion between director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland would make it even more exciting.

The popular Magic Tree House book series, written by Mary Pope Osborne and enjoyed by readers for 33 years, is becoming an animated show. Entertainment company Spuree and TV studio Rideback are working together to bring the books to life. Osborne will be closely involved in the project as a creative partner, making sure the adaptation stays true to her original stories.

It wasn’t long after Supernatural finished in 2020 that its creator, Eric Kripke, started bringing some of the show’s popular actors over to The Boys. Jensen Ackles appeared as Soldier Boy in season 3, and even had a brief part in Gen V. Netflix is planning an American remake of the 2021 French mystery thriller, Black Box, according to Deadline. They’ve partnered with director Tim Fehlbaum (September 5) to create the new version, shortly after securing the rights to remake the film in English.
