I was reading an interview with Bryan Andrews, the director of *Marvel Zombies*, and he explained why the show only got four episodes. Basically, it came down to budget and time! He said they were still figuring things out as they were making it, and weren’t sure how much they’d ultimately get to do. Apparently, they originally planned it as a full-length movie, but because of the whole Spider-Man rights situation with Sony, they couldn’t make that happen.

A new James Bond film is in the works, with filming expected to begin in 2027 and a release planned for November 2028. Director Denis Villeneuve will start searching for a new actor to play 007 once he finishes the third Dune movie. This film will be a fresh start for the Bond franchise under its new studio, Amazon MGM Studios, and will be produced by David Heyman and Amy Pascal.

In Season 2, Episode 3 of *Peacemaker*, a new team called the Top Trio was introduced as part of the DC Universe. This team is actually the Smith family from an alternate Earth, and they can be reached through a special portal hidden in Chris Smith’s closet.

In Season 2 of *Peacemaker*, Michael Rooker appeared as the villain Red St. Wild in three episodes. This means James Gunn, the show’s creator and writer (and now head of DC Studios and the DCU), brought back a key actor from *The Suicide Squad* to play a new character in *Peacemaker*.

Taking part in a Hot Ones interview with some of her Wednesday co-stars, Ortega brought up the fact that she’s not about to die on her own show, hilariously pointing out that it wouldn’t be Wednesday without, well, Wednesday. The marketing team has to be in on that, right?

Jimmi Simpson, known for his roles in shows like *It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia* and *Westworld*, will be joining *The Walking Dead: Dead City* for its third season as a main character named Dillard. Details about Dillard are currently being kept secret. This role follows Simpson’s recent appearances in *Dark Matter* (2024) and the new *Twisted Metal* series on Peacock.

The second season of *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* will not only continue Fionna and Cake’s travels through different universes, but it will also bring back Finn the Human, a character fans have been waiting to see again.

James Gunn recently discussed his plans for Batman in the upcoming film, *The Brave and the Bold*, during an appearance on the *2 Bears, 1 Cave* podcast (available on YouTube). The director of *Guardians of the Galaxy* explained what aspects of the iconic detective are most important to him as he develops the character.

Deadline reports that another Stephen King story is headed to the screen. Director Isaac Ezban, a filmmaker from Mexico, will helm the project. The screenplay is by Jeff Howard, who previously co-wrote the adaptation of *Gerald’s Game* with Mike Flanagan.
