The Apple TV+ sci-fi series Pluribus centers around Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn), one of the few people left after a strange virus sweeps the planet. Instead of typical monsters, the threat comes from a cheerful, collective consciousness. This unique premise has made Pluribus a popular show, and fans are eagerly hoping for a second season.

By adding the cheerful spirit of Christmas – especially in a Batman story meant for families – Bat-Fam becomes even more appealing to younger viewers. It’s a bit like Batman Returns, which also used Christmas as a backdrop, but didn’t focus on the scary version of The Penguin. Both Bat-Fam and Batman Returns show that Christmas can be used in storytelling in different ways.
With the huge success of Avatar: Fire and Ash, it seems James Cameron’s Avatar movies will continue. One big question was the fate of Stephen Lang’s character, Colonel Quaritch, the villain from the first film. While the movie didn’t clearly state what happened to him, it strongly suggests audiences will see more of Quaritch in future Avatar sequels.

The director, Mendonça, does such a fantastic job of slowly revealing this rich world and all the interesting characters living in Recife, and how they’re all connected. It’s a film that really pulls you in and lets you discover things as it goes along.
