After almost thirty years, Star Wars is exploring similar themes in the new Duel of the Fates series. The first two episodes of Maul – Shadow Lord show the former Sith Lord caught in a struggle where the fate of a young, Force-sensitive individual is at stake – and will likely be decided by the end of the season.

Anime! Anime! recently revealed the results of its survey to find the most beloved “Sakura” characters of all time, as of 2026. Nearly 650 anime fans participated in the “Who do you think of when you hear ‘Sakura’?” poll, which was held to celebrate Sakura Day on March 27th.

With a wealth of historical detail, Outlaw Posse feels like a passionate history lesson brought to life on the big screen. The film cleverly blends accurate historical information with nods to classic Westerns, demonstrating a clear love for both the Old West and film history. Mario Van Peebles uses the Western genre to explore ongoing American issues like civil rights and violence, all while telling a heartwarming story about the bonds of a chosen family. Action-packed fight scenes and beautiful scenery will appeal to any fan of Westerns.

I was so surprised and excited when HBO dropped that behind-the-scenes special eight months before the first season even aired! It was a real treat for fans like me, giving us a peek into the making of this magical world with interviews from the cast and crew. And someone on Reddit spotted what looks like our first good look at Professor Quirrell – thankfully, it seems they’re staying true to the character as we know him from the books!

Before the new season arrives, Netflix is releasing a special called Lego One Piece. This two-part special will revisit the story of the first and second seasons of the live-action series, but told from the perspective of Usopp, the crew’s storyteller.

Flanagan’s debut feature film, Absentia, is a remarkably successful low-budget horror movie, especially considering its modest origins.

Subscribers noticed the Alien 3 Assembly Cut had quietly appeared on the streaming service through their social media posts. The story behind this cut is particularly interesting, stemming from the difficult production of Alien 3.

I was really excited to see Ernie Hudson – you know, from Ghostbusters – playing Edwin Peters, the family’s patriarch. He’s the dad to Jill and Mae, played by Holly Robinson Peete and Gloria Reuben, and the grandfather to Sonequa Martin-Green’s Lena and Marcus Scribner’s Jonah. It’s clear he’s a rock for his family, but as the story unfolds, you get the feeling he’s been keeping secrets from them, which adds a really interesting layer to his character.

The science fiction film The Running Man, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, was released in 1987, based on the 1982 novel of the same name. While the film wasn’t a close adaptation of the book, Edgar Wright recently revisited the story, releasing his own adaptation in 2025. He has now explained to Empire magazine why he made a significant change from the original novel.

Lee Pace, the voice of Thragg on the show Invincible, recently told ComicBook that Season 4, episode 7 will explore the character’s past. The episode is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on April 15th.
