It’s been number one since February 4, 2026, showing people are still very interested in watching it more than two years after it first came out in theaters, according to data from FlixPatrol.

As a huge sci-fi fan, I’ve always loved how diverse the genre is. You can find everything from massive, sprawling shows like Lost to really focused, character-driven stories like Black Mirror. But for me, the truly great sci-fi shows build worlds that feel totally believable, even when they’re filled with futuristic tech. And honestly, if I’m looking for something to really binge-watch, I think Netflix has better sci-fi than most big-budget movies these days.
The next book in Shogakukan’s New Educational Manga Series will tell the life story of Hori, from his childhood to now. The book will spend several chapters detailing how he got into the gaming industry and the people he met while creating Dragon Quest. Akira Toriyama, the main artist for Dragon Quest, collaborated with Hori, creating the game’s characters and monsters.
Three years after the events of the series, Disney will conclude the story of Din and Grogu with a new movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu. A trailer was released in September, and it was confirmed the film would be featured in a Super Bowl ad in 2026. Many fans were hoping for a more extensive look at the movie, and were eager to find out if they would get one.
Despite finishing its run on Prime Video over five years ago, The Expanse is still widely considered the best example of modern science fiction television. The show expertly combined believable science with compelling characters and a grand story of space colonization and political intrigue, and it hasn’t been surpassed since.
Pop culture often deals with the disturbing parts of movies by making them funny – think of Hannibal Lecter’s famous line about fava beans and Chianti, or his creepy mask. However, the meme about the ‘lotion in the basket’ might be the most problematic example of this tendency to lighten truly frightening content.
