A new report from industry insider Daniel Richtman suggests the future of the upcoming MandoVerse crossover hinges on the box office performance of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. If the film is successful in theaters, it will remain a movie. However, if it doesn’t meet expectations, it will instead be released as a limited series on Disney+. This crossover, reportedly titled Heir to the Empire, was previously believed to be cancelled due to the generally underwhelming performance of other MandoVerse projects on Disney+.
