These American-made anime are all good in their own way, but many could really benefit from a fresh start. Some lost momentum and didn’t reach their full potential, while others weren’t given enough attention when they first came out and might be more popular now. For bigger franchises, remakes would simply be a smart move.

The Bluff delivers a thrilling, old-fashioned action experience. While the story itself isn’t particularly original, the film makes up for it with its intense and creative fight sequences. The script is straightforward and efficient, allowing the impressive choreography – crafted by fight experts Tara Macken and Kyle Gardiner (known for their work on Marvel films) – to take center stage. Executive produced by the Russo brothers, the film packs all of this into a tight ninety-minute runtime.

After almost ten years, the fifth season of Stranger Things concluded the series, becoming Netflix’s second most popular English-language TV show ever. This is a huge accomplishment, especially considering how much the show influenced popular culture. Success like this is rare, but Netflix had already proven its ability to create hit shows with Wednesday, which is now preparing for its third season and looks set to continue its success.

Sony announced last Friday that Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, known for their work on Final Destination Bloodlines, will direct an animated Venom film. The producers will include Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach, who all worked on the live-action Venom movies, as well as Tom Hardy, who played Eddie Brock/Venom in those films.

The success of Tracker largely depends on Justin Hartley, who plays the main character, Colter Shaw. Although he has a team helping him, Colter usually works alone while facing various challenges. Jared Padalecki appears on the show as Colter’s brother, Russell Shaw, and feels like a natural fit within the Tracker universe, effectively filling the same role he had in Supernatural.

In the 2025 thriller Dead of Winter, Emma Thompson plays Barb, a woman journeying through the snowy landscape of northern Minnesota. When she witnesses a teenage girl being kidnapped, Barb realizes she’s the only one who can help, despite being stranded without cell service and far from civilization. The film, directed by Brian Kirk, also features Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca, Laurel Marsden, and Gaia Wise.

Written and directed by James Vanderbilt (known for Zodiac and Scream), Nuremberg debuted in U.S. theaters in September 2025, distributed by Sony Pictures Classics. The film, based on Jack El-Hai’s 2013 book “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist,” stars Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Rami Malek in a tense psychological drama. Rami Malek plays U.S. Army psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, who is tasked with evaluating the mental state of Hermann Göring (Crowe) before the Nuremberg trials.

Even the most highly-regarded games usually have at least one weakness. Sometimes this flaw is small enough to not matter, overshadowed by everything the game does well.
