Any remaining hope I had for a return to the good old days was dashed instantly, just as a collarbone would break during an ill-fated stunt.

Bam Margera Saying ‘The Damage Has Been Done’ Seems Like The Nail In The Coffin For Any Potential Returns

Recently, reading Bam Margera’s interview on TopMob, it became clear to me that his past actions, even if he has been making significant personal improvements and attempting reconciliation, might well rule out any future involvement in the Jackass franchise. In his conversation with my fellow reporter Mike Reyes, he made this statement.

They treated me as if I were completely new to the scene, and their actions led me to undergo treatment and pay for it myself. Subsequently, they did not include me in a movie, which required me to go to court over the matter. To be honest, no amount of money could tempt me to work with them again on Jackass. The harm has been inflicted, and I have moved on.

Regardless of whether you see me as an optimist, a fool, or someone hesitant to let go, I don’t mind. Deep down, I sensed this outcome and Bam choosing his own path, but hope has the power to influence even the most mature among us, particularly when it involves something as exhilarating as Jackass.

I Appreciate Margera’s Candor, But I’m Bummed Nonetheless

It’s heartening to see Bam Margera included in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, given the speculations that his recent personal issues might keep him out of this remastered version of the 2001 and 2002 skating games. I’m delighted he gets another opportunity to shine. Moreover, I respect his openness about the Jackass situation and his future aspirations. Truly, I commend him for that.

Although it’s disappointing that he won’t collaborate with his longtime companions, including those from his earlier days as seen in “Viva La Bam,” I remain optimistic for the future.
