As Pedro Pascal Wraps Filming Avengers: Doomsday, The Mandalorian Lead Is Lining Up A Movie Involving Fellow Star Wars Talent

Pedro Pascal has certainly been a busy man this year, with multiple projects lined up. Apart from starring in the 2025 movies Eddington, Materialists, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, he’s also been filming Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release at the end of 2026. Although the entirety of Doomsday is yet to complete its principal photography, it seems that Pascal has already wrapped up his part in the Marvel movie. Now, it appears that the lead actor from The Mandalorian is preparing for a new film featuring some Star Wars co-stars.

The most recent news about Pedro Pascal’s professional life is that he’s currently negotiating a role in the upcoming film “Behemoth,” produced by Tony Gilroy’s team at Searchlight Pictures. Gilroy, renowned for penning the first four Bourne movies, State of Play, Nightcrawler, and directing Michael Clayton, Duplicity, The Bourne Legacy, Star Wars fans will recall, also co-wrote and directed reshoots for Rogue One. Post his work on Rogue One, he created the prequel series Andor, which concluded its two-season run in May.

Based on Deadline’s report, the production of the movie titled Behemoth seems to be progressing positively with Pedro Pascal joining the cast. Tony Gilroy is set to write, direct, and produce the film, although specific storylines are being kept under wraps. Previously, Gilroy hinted that the story would revolve around a cellist, possibly a role Pascal might take on. The filming for Behemoth is scheduled to start this fall, but as of now, a release date has not been announced.

Disney+ is where you can find Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Star Wars franchises, including content featuring Pedro Pascal. With the upcoming arrival of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, there’s even more to look forward to. The streaming service offers an ad-supported plan starting at $9.99 per month. If you prefer an ad-free experience, it’s available for $15.99 per month, or opt for a 16% discount and pre-pay $159.99 for a yearly subscription. Check out the offer here!

It’s exciting to learn that these two gentlemen, known for their separate roles within the Star Wars universe, are set to collaborate on an upcoming film. Since The Mandalorian takes place several years after Return of the Jedi, and Andor follows Cassian Andor’s life in the five years leading up to Rogue One, it seemed unlikely that Pascal and Gilroy would ever have a chance to work together in a galaxy far, far away. Now, with Behemoth! potentially bringing them together, assuming Pascal can finalize a deal with Searchlight, we could witness their collaboration at last.

After receiving an Emmy nomination for his role as Joel Miller in “The Last of Us” and making his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” Pedro Pascal is now part of a team that includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch. This group will join forces with the Avengers, New Avengers, X-Men, and other superheroes when “Avengers: Doomsday” is released on December 18, 2026.

Prior to that, Pedro Pascal will rejoin the Star Wars universe for the movie titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu”. This will be the franchise’s first theatrical release since 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker”. The film is scheduled for release in 2026 on May 22nd. We’ll keep you updated about the release date of “Behemoth!” as well, once it’s confirmed for the big screen.
