April 15 Will Be a Great Day For Invincible TV Show Fans

Fans of the animated series Invincible have a lot to look forward to on April 15, 2026, with the introduction of a key character from the comic books. Season 4 of the Amazon Prime Video hit is set to escalate the Viltrumite War by bringing in Thragg, the powerful and merciless ruler of the Viltrumite Empire. Thragg is expected to be a major game-changer in the war, posing a significant and potentially devastating threat to Mark Grayson and his allies in the Coalition of Planets.

Lee Pace, the voice of Thragg on the show Invincible, recently told ComicBook that Season 4, episode 7 will explore the character’s past. The episode is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on April 15th.

The interviewer asked Lee Pace if he thought the character Thragg could eventually be redeemed, given his motivations. Pace responded that he wasn’t sure, noting that Thragg does terrible things, even going back to his history which is explored in Episode 7. He described Thragg as someone driven by relentless ambition.

With Pace now confirmed, April 15th promises to be a fantastic day for fans of Invincible. Episode 7 will provide crucial background on the Viltrumite war, making the character Thragg seem even more powerful and threatening.

In the Invincible comics by Robert Kirkman, Thragg originated from the planet Vitrum, where his father was a key advisor to Emperor Argall. He wasn’t like other Viltrumites; he underwent extremely demanding training designed to make him the strongest of his race. This harsh preparation gave him incredible power and fueled a single-minded, merciless desire for conquest.

Thragg is an incredibly old warrior who fought in the long and destructive Viltrumite Civil War. This war began after Thaedus killed Emperor Argall, and it quickly turned into a violent conflict where many Viltrumites fought each other. Over centuries, the war weakened the empire, but Thragg’s incredible strength and skill as a leader eventually brought peace back to Viltrum.

Thragg gained the strong admiration of other Viltrumites through his deeds during a time of great turmoil. When order was restored, he was made Grand Regent, effectively becoming the leader responsible for rebuilding the Viltrumite Empire and guiding its people.

Season 4, Episode 7 of Invincible will likely explore Thragg’s past, revealing the violent events that shaped him. The episode promises to use the show’s signature animation style to vividly portray his strength and the harshness of his origins, as only the Prime Video series can.

Invincible Season 4, Episode 7 is set to premiere on Wednesday, April 15, at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET.

Why Thragg Is Invincible’s Most Compelling Villain Yet

Grand Regent Thragg is arguably the most dangerous and fascinating villain in the Invincible series. He was created solely to be a ruthless killer and feels no regret for his actions.

Thragg, the ruler of the Viltrumite Empire, perfectly represents its ruthless belief in Viltrumite dominance, making him a formidable and unpredictable opponent in battle. He believes strength is everything and that conquering others is the only way to achieve true greatness. This unwavering conviction makes him a particularly frightening villain – one who is always consistent and completely confident in his terrifying worldview.

Because Thragg is completely devoted to his beliefs, there’s no way Mark Grayson can convince him to be good. Considering how much effort it took Mark to defeat Conquest – and how close he came to losing – beating someone as powerful as Thragg would be an enormous challenge.

Thragg is a relentless force dedicated to upholding the Viltrumite empire, and he’s willing to eliminate anyone – even his own people – to achieve that goal. Episode 7 of Invincible Season 4 delves into his past, promising a compelling look at how he transformed from a ruthlessly created weapon into an even more frightening master of galactic control.
