
Apple TV is saying goodbye to one of its flagship series, For All Mankind.
The popular show For All Mankind will conclude after its sixth season. The fifth season begins streaming on Friday, March 27th, with two new episodes. It will introduce a new cast of characters and focus on conflicts between groups on both Earth and Mars. Additionally, a spin-off series called Star City is scheduled to premiere in May.
Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, the creators of the show, released a statement expressing how honored they were to have spent six seasons developing the world of For All Mankind. They were also thrilled to be able to end the series as they always envisioned. Wolpert and Nedivi shared that they are extremely proud of the show and thankful to Apple TV and Sony for their support in bringing it to a satisfying conclusion.
Apple TV+’s head of programming, Matt Cherniss, described the show For All Mankind as groundbreaking and sweeping in scope, specifically highlighting the creative talents of Ron D. Moore, Matt, and Ben. He also announced that the show’s final season will arrive in 2027, meaning viewers won’t have to wait as long as the two years between seasons four and five.
