For the first time, Amazon is turning a popular epic fantasy comic book series into a TV show, and they’ve brought on Steven Maeda, the showrunner of One Piece, to lead the project.
Amazon MGM Studios is developing an animated series for adults based on the comic book Monstress. Steven Maeda, who helped create and previously ran the show One Piece on Netflix, is leading the project, according to Variety.
