I remember one scene where Regina’s character breaks her neck after being hit by a bus, and she says, ‘I don’t understand why…’ I played it in a really strange, disconnected way, and it apparently stood out.

Isn’t that amazing? It’s difficult to picture anyone else as a Mean Girls character, but Amanda Seyfried really stood out in her audition and ultimately got the part of Karen Smith. While she didn’t quite fit the mold for the main villain, her performance was impressive enough to earn her the iconic role of the seemingly naive Karen, which really launched her successful acting career.
