The new DC Universe (DCU) subtly introduced the Green Lantern Corps in the first film, Superman, hinting at their important role. Now, with the trailer for the upcoming series Lanterns, DC has revealed at least five Green Lanterns who will be featured in the show. This includes a Lantern seen previously in a film, as well as the iconic Hal Jordan, and a few other new faces.
List of all Green Lanterns in DCU after new trailer
Here are all the Green Lanterns in the new trailer for Lanterns.
Hal Jordan
Hal Jordan, DC’s most famous Green Lantern and a character who’s appeared in several past adaptations, will be back in the new DCU series. He’ll be responsible for training the newest members of the Green Lantern Corps, a role he’s held as a central figure for many years.
Kyle Chandler is set to play Hal Jordan in the upcoming series, Lanterns. Ryan Reynolds portrayed the same character in a previous, standalone DC movie.
Guy Gardner
I’m really excited to see Guy Gardner back! We already got a taste of him in the movie, and now he’s coming to Lanterns – it sounds like he might even be a major player in the story. Plus, if you’ve seen Peacemaker, you know he’s already part of that team, so he’s definitely got a history of being a hero!
Guy Gardner is a long-standing character from the comics, and Nathan Fillion portrays him in the show.
John Stewart
The trailer for the upcoming series, Lanterns, revealed John Stewart, a Green Lantern who will be mentored by Hal Jordan. The show will center on John’s origin story and his development into a key figure within the Green Lantern Corps.
Aaron Pierre will play John in the DCU. This is his first live-action appearance.
Ch’p
The trailer reveals that Ch’p, the squirrel-like Green Lantern, is also part of the DC Universe. A conversation between John and Hal hints at his presence. Created by Paul Kupperberg and Don Newton, Ch’p is a long-standing alien member of the Green Lantern Corps.
Sinestro
The story will also feature Sinestro, who was once Hal Jordan’s mentor and a Green Lantern himself. Now, he’s the main villain opposing the Green Lanterns, even though he used to be one of them.
Although Ulrich Thomsen didn’t appear in the Lanterns trailer, it’s now confirmed he will be playing a role in the show.
Sinestro has appeared in other DC projects before.
Lanterns will premiere in August 2026.
