All 10 New Devil Fruits In Netflix’s One Piece Season 2

Season 2 of One Piece features many new characters with special powers granted by Devil Fruits. A total of ten new abilities were shown by the end of the season, which is more than were introduced in season 1. If this pattern holds, we can expect even more new powers to be revealed in season 3.

Devil Fruits are a key part of the world of One Piece, granting many characters unique powers that make them strong pirates, Marines, and other influential figures. For example, Luffy ate the Gum-Gum Fruit when he was young, which turned his body into rubber, giving him the ability to stretch.

Season 2 of One Piece really lets the abilities of the Baroque Works agents shine. These powers range from comical to truly dangerous, but seeing each new Devil Fruit ability in action was a highlight of the season.

In the second season of One Piece, the first new Devil Fruit power we see belongs to Nico Robin, also known as Miss All Sunday. The season begins with a demonstration of her Flower-Flower Fruit ability, where she quickly defeats a group of Marines in Shells Town. She does this by creating extra arms and legs that sprout from buildings and other surfaces, allowing her to overwhelm the Marines and disarm them.

Miss All Sunday’s power comes from the Flower-Flower Fruit, which lets her sprout flower petals from any surface or even people. This explains the fruit’s name and why she uses pink petals when activating her ability.

As seen in the second season of One Piece, Nico Robin’s Flower-Flower Fruit ability is so powerful it allowed her to become the second-highest ranking member of Baroque Works.

Pound-Pound Fruit (Miss Valentine)

Miss Valentine, a member of Baroque Works who fought alongside Nico Robin in Shells Town, has the ability to control her weight. Thanks to the Pound-Pound Fruit, she can make herself incredibly light or incredibly heavy – anywhere from 1 to 10,000 kilograms – without changing her appearance.

In season 2 of One Piece, Miss Valentine frequently uses her Devil Fruit power, the Pound-Pound Fruit, in different ways. She can both gently float into the air and powerfully crash down on her opponents.

Bomb-Bomb Fruit (Mr. 5)

I’ve been watching One Piece and I always found Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine to be a pretty memorable duo, especially during season 2. Honestly, Mr. 5’s Devil Fruit power, the Bomb-Bomb Fruit, is just… weirdly fun! The way he uses it is definitely one of the more comical power sets in the whole series, and it always makes me laugh.

The Bomb-Bomb Fruit gives Mr. 5 the power to turn his body parts into bombs, and he’s unaffected by explosions. He mostly uses things like mucus from his nose to create explosive projectiles, but the anime One Piece shows him using explosive breath as well.

Smoke-Smoke Fruit (Smoker)

Smoker’s Devil Fruit in One Piece is one of the most interesting and powerful. Called the Smoke-Smoke Fruit, it allows him to turn his body into smoke. This ability makes him a formidable opponent, as demonstrated when he easily defeated Luffy in episode 1 of season 2.

Smoker’s Devil Fruit ability lets him transform his body into smoke, which he uses to dodge almost any attack. He can also control the density of the smoke to fight, either by grabbing opponents or forming solid weapons. This makes Smoker a very powerful Marine in season 2 of One Piece.

Slip-Slip Fruit (Alvida)

In the anime One Piece, Alvida is a character who gains powers from a Devil Fruit. We learn in season 2 that she ate the Slip-Slip Fruit, which makes almost everything slide right off her – even attacks! This fruit dramatically changed Alvida’s appearance between the first and second seasons of the show.

This happens because of a special ability in the world of One Piece. The Slip-Slip Fruit makes anyone who eats it lose fat very easily. We see this happen to Alvida, who becomes much thinner as a result.

Wax-Wax Fruit (Mr. 3)

Mr. 3 is a powerful enemy in the second season of One Piece, thanks to his Devil Fruit, the Wax-Wax Fruit. This fruit allows him to secrete wax from his body, which instantly hardens into a substance stronger than steel. Similar to Smoker, this gives Mr. 3 a very adaptable and useful ability.

Mr. 3 has the ability to create incredibly strong structures using wax, and this is where he truly excels. He can even make weapons, but his constructions are his specialty. For example, in the second season of One Piece, he built a giant wax cake that served as a deadly trap, previously imprisoning the massive character, Dorry, within a huge wax building. Because his wax is so durable and seemingly limitless, defeating Mr. 3 is a real challenge.

Munch-Munch Fruit (King Wapol)

Okay, so in season 2 of One Piece, we actually get to see a character eat a Devil Fruit, and that’s King Wapol. He gets the Munch-Munch Fruit from Baroque Works as part of a deal. Now, this fruit is seriously weird – it lets Wapol eat anything, no matter how big, and then basically gain the properties of whatever he just swallowed. It’s a pretty strange power, and cool to see it happen on screen!

Wapol’s Devil Fruit ability allows him to grow blades on his body after eating them. In season 2 of One Piece, he even demonstrated the power to create entire soldiers by consuming both people and metal. Clearly, the Munch-Munch Fruit is a dangerous ability that no one would want falling into the wrong hands.

Ox-Ox Fruit (Dalton)

As a huge One Piece fan, I was totally blown away by a recent reveal in season 2! Apparently, Dalton, that incredibly dedicated protector of the Drum Kingdom, actually ate the Ox-Ox Fruit. It’s wild – this fruit lets him transform into this massive, super-strong half-human, half-bison creature! It seriously amps up his power in a fight – he becomes a real force to be reckoned with.

Human-Human Fruit (Chopper)

Tony Tony Chopper from One Piece has a power similar to Dalton’s, gained from a Devil Fruit. While Dalton ate the Ox-Ox Fruit, Chopper ate the Human-Human Fruit. This allows Chopper to transform into different forms, much like Dalton, but his transformations result in various human-like animal forms.

Chopper wasn’t always able to talk and think like a person. He started as a normal reindeer, but after eating a Devil Fruit, he gained human-like intelligence and the ability to transform. This fruit not only made him half-human, half-reindeer, but also allowed him to change into a stronger, more muscular form, and even revert back to being a regular reindeer.

Sand-Sand Fruit (Mr. 0)

The last Devil Fruit introduced in One Piece season 2 isn’t actually seen on screen, but it is established. The season finale reveals that Mr. 0, the head of Baroque Works, is really Crocodile, a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Like others with special abilities, Crocodile gained his powers by eating a Devil Fruit – specifically, the Sand-Sand Fruit.

Crocodile didn’t demonstrate his full abilities in the second season of One Piece, but it’s highly likely we’ll see them in season 3. His Devil Fruit power is comparable to Smoker’s, letting him change his body as he pleases – but instead of smoke, Crocodile transforms with sand. This gives him strong defenses and attacks, plus a variety of other powers.

Crocodile has incredibly dangerous abilities, like summoning massive sandstorms and even drying out living creatures with a single touch. As the central villain in the upcoming story arc set in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Crocodile’s powers, derived from his Devil Fruit, will be the biggest challenge Luffy and his crew have encountered yet in One Piece.
