Reacher season 5 has found its inspiration.
Reacher is an action-packed crime series on Prime Video created by Nick Santora. It’s based on the popular books by Lee Child and stars Jack Reacher, a former military police officer who travels the country solving crimes and taking down dangerous criminals using his unique skills and training.
At San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that the fifth season of Reacher will be based on Lee Child’s novel, Make Me. Alan Ritchson, the star of the show, also shared that filming has begun and they’re already one week into production.
Released in September 2015, Make Me is the twentieth installment in Lee Child’s popular Jack Reacher series. The story finds Reacher in the remote town of Mother’s Rest, Oklahoma, where he teams up with ex-FBI agent Michelle Chang to find a missing colleague. Their investigation quickly uncovers a dangerous and frightening criminal organization.
Each season of the Prime Video series Reacher is adapted from one of Lee Child’s novels. The upcoming fourth season, premiering next month, draws inspiration from Gone Tomorrow, the thirteenth book in the Jack Reacher series. Originally published in 2009, Gone Tomorrow is set in New York City and begins with Jack Reacher spotting a woman on a late-night subway ride who matches the description of a suspected suicide bomber; she shoots herself when he tries to approach her.
Each season of Reacher features a new story and therefore a rotating cast. For season four, Christopher Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, and Kevin Corrigan will be joining Alan Ritchson in the series.
