During an interview for M3GAN 2.0’s promotional activities with The Direct, Ivanna Sakhno mentioned that she gets to work closely with Rory McCann almost every day due to their frequent shared scenes. Following Ray Stevenson’s passing in May 2023, Lucasfilm brought Rory McCann on board to play the character Baylan, keeping the narrative moving forward.

In the interview, it was mentioned that Sakhno praised, “He’s been a joy to collaborate with. His work will do the talking, but there’s no doubt he’s a valuable asset for us. I can’t think of anyone more suitable for this role.” It was also revealed that they are presently shooting in London, and production is active for Season 2.

In the forthcoming season, Rosario Dawson reappears as the character Ahsoka Tano. Natasha Liu Bordizzo resumes her role as Sabine Wren, while Eman Esfandi takes on the part of Ezra Bridger and Mary Elizabeth Winstead portrays Hera Syndulla.
