AGT Star Hinted at Alleged Will Smith Harassment Days Before Lawsuit

Violinist Brian King Joseph appears to have suggested he was sexually harassed by Will Smith in social media posts just before he filed a lawsuit against the actor.

Joseph, a finalist on America’s Got Talent, recently shared a video on Instagram about a big opportunity he received earlier this year. He was excited to join a large tour, but hinted that the experience was negatively affected by a harmful work environment. Joseph said that anyone who reported problems faced repercussions. Despite this, he encouraged others to come forward if they experienced harassment, just as he did, even if it meant risking their career advancement.

I recently took a job as a performer on a large tour with a very famous artist, and I was thrilled to be chosen. However, some issues arose during the tour. I can’t share specifics right now due to legal reasons, but I’m speaking out because it’s unacceptable to be fired, blamed, or threatened for reporting sexual misconduct or safety concerns in the workplace.

A lawsuit was filed against Smith in Los Angeles on December 30, 2025. The plaintiff alleges in court documents that Smith engaged in predatory behavior, specifically grooming and preparing him for sexual exploitation during Smith’s 2025 tour, which started in March. The plaintiff claims he was first involved in November 2024.

The lawsuit states that the America’s Got Talent contestant found several items in his hotel room that weren’t his, including personal care products and a bottle of medication for HIV with someone else’s name on it, along with hospital paperwork. He also reported finding a threatening note that made him believe someone intended to come back and attack him.

Joseph reported the incident to both hotel security and Smith’s management, but he says they didn’t take his concerns seriously and even accused him of making things up. Soon after speaking up, he was fired.

As of this article’s publication, representatives for Smith haven’t made any public statements regarding the accusations.
