The movie After the Hunt, directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Andrew Garfield, Julia Roberts, and Ayo Edebiri, will be available to stream soon. The film centers on college student Maggie Resnick (Edebiri) who accuses her professor, Hank Gibson, of sexual assault. This accusation forces Professor Alma Imhoff (Roberts) to confront a troubling secret from her own past.
The film After the Hunt will be available to stream on Prime Video starting November 20th. It played in theaters for a little over a month and premiered at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival before coming to the streaming service.
Although critics and audiences liked the performances from Roberts, Garfield, and Edebiri, the movie After the Hunt didn’t receive as much positive feedback as many of director Luca Guadagnino’s other films. It currently has a 37% rating from critics and a 38% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
