Super Bowl LX is almost here – just under two weeks away! While many football fans are eager to see the New England Patriots play the Seattle Seahawks, others are most excited about the commercials. Even though streaming and ad-free options have changed how people watch TV, the Super Bowl remains a place for creative and memorable advertising. This year, Oscar winner Adrien Brody will star in a particularly dramatic commercial for TurboTax.
According to a new report in People Magazine, Adrien Brody will star in a Super Bowl LX commercial for TurboTax. A sneak peek of the ad, titled “The Expert,” shows Brody practicing his lines in his trailer, repeatedly saying, “I can handle that for you!” People also spoke with Brody about the commercial, and he shared how much fun it was to be involved in a project that lets him playfully poke fun at his own serious acting reputation and film roles.
TurboTax had a really clever idea for an ad campaign, and I think it’s funny because it plays on the stressful reputation of tax season. As someone known for dramatic roles, the idea of wanting to make tax season dramatic, but TurboTax making it simple and easy, is hilarious to me. It’s fun to poke fun at the idea that I’m a serious, intense actor. A lot of people assume actors who do dramatic work don’t have a sense of humor, but I love comedy and enjoy being able to laugh at myself.
Adrien Brody Will Be Poking Fun at His Intense Filmography With This Upcoming Commercial
Adrien Brody is well-known for his powerful, dramatic performances, earning him two Oscars for roles in films like The Pianist and The Brutalist. However, he’s also comfortable with comedy. He showed his lighter side in The Brothers Bloom, and his appearance in the first episode of Poker Face included subtle humor, similar to what viewers will see in a short preview for an upcoming TurboTax commercial.

I’m really looking forward to seeing the full TurboTax commercial when it finally airs during the Super Bowl and pops up online. Brody seems like an actor who really commits to every role he takes on, no matter how big or small it is. And this ad is just one of many we’ll see during the game, which is great! I’m hoping we’ll see a lot of other famous faces in commercials during the Super Bowl too.
