I truly hope that Nobody Wants This gets a second season – I’m eagerly awaiting its release on Netflix’s 2025 schedule. But, let me confess, I’m also feeling anxious because the first season ended with Noah admitting to Joanne that he can’t have both, which has left me worried about potential cycles of regret and resentment. However, hearing Adam Brody’s thoughts on Noah’s actions has helped alleviate some of my concerns.
Previously, while engrossed in “Nobody Wants This” through my Netflix membership, I promptly penned down my feelings about how Noah’s decision at the end to pursue Joanne left me tense. Although I was elated by his pursuit, I found myself contemplating the possible consequences as this action could significantly influence his prospective role as a head rabbi.
In a Deadline interview, when asked if Noah regretted picking Joanne over being head rabbi, Adam Brody’s answer relieved my worries about “Nobody Wants This.
Absolutely not, there’s no possibility. Regardless of the outcome, love is valuable. Trust your feelings and follow your heart.
Discuss how straightforwardly the actor portraying Noah responded – it’s a quality that resonates deeply with me, as I’ve pondered whether his on-screen persona might grapple with second thoughts about his decision.
It’s clear that I appreciate a heartfelt romantic gesture, and I can’t help but be drawn to them. Yet, the situation depicted in “Nobody Wants This” is remarkably intricate and multilayered. On one side, Noah achieving his lifelong dream of becoming the head rabbi is truly commendable, and it’s natural that I want Joanne to stand by him. However, on the other hand, if she feels uncomfortable fully converting to Judaism, she shouldn’t feel compelled to do so, and Noah should respect her feelings. Unfortunately, it seems that both of them may not be able to have everything they desire within their relationship.
Consequently, I was worried that if Noah chose to rush to Joanne, it might result in resentment should he fail to secure the position of head rabbi.

Brody’s words significantly reduce my worry levels by ten times. While what he did may have created tension, the ongoing struggle between religion and romance as a central point of contention in the series is certainly expected. Yet, I am relieved to understand that their relationship won’t disintegrate because it seems Noah will never regret his decision about this matter.
One aspect I truly appreciate in “Nobody Wants This” is its emphasis on open communication. Characters like Noah and Joanne express their emotions effectively, a skill that will undoubtedly serve them well as they confront the upcoming hurdle. This skill was further underscored by Brody’s honest and heartfelt declaration about his character’s feelings regarding the situation.
I’m really excited as I step into Season 2 of “Nobody Wants This.” My anticipation for its October 23 release in the 2025 TV lineup is, for the most part, free from concerns now.
