Absolute Batman’s Radical Poison Ivy Design Revealed

Details about Poison Ivy‘s appearance in the upcoming issues of Scott Snyder’s Batman comic have been released. She’ll be a key player in issues #17 and #18, and fans are eager to see how the series portrays her, especially given its fresh take on Batman’s villains.

Absolute Batman’s Poison Ivy gets first look

Illustrator Björn Barends and East Coast Comics recently posted a cover image on Instagram for Absolute Batman, featuring Poison Ivy. The artwork depicts her with exceptionally long hair, complete with bangs and feather-like leaves adorning her neck and woven into her hair. She also has two yellow, feather-shaped leaves on her chest, and her torso is decorated with detailed orange and green patterns.

She wears dark grey bracelets on her ankles and wrists. Additionally, white feathers sprout from the lower part of her orange-colored torso. This combination of orange and white feathers creates a unique look, setting her apart from the typical version of the character, who is mostly green.

Her skin is a mix of human and plant textures. Her face and the upper parts of her arms and legs have a normal skin tone, but the lower parts are covered in green, patterned plant skin. There’s also a slight green tint on the side of her forehead.

Artist Eric Canete will join Scott Snyder for a two-issue story arc focusing on Poison Ivy, in issues #17 and #18. The story kicks off with issue #17, where Dr. Pamela Isley, now free from Ark-M, seeks revenge on Gotham City and those responsible for her imprisonment, fueled by intense anger.

Okay, so the story really kicks into high gear when Batman finally corners the villain. But it’s not a simple takedown – he’s thrown into this incredibly twisted, escalating gauntlet of horrors. Honestly, it’s a seriously gruesome obstacle course, and he has to navigate it all to save Gotham, which, ironically, played a part in creating this monster in the first place. It’s a dark turn, and the stakes are definitely high.

Following the shocking cliffhanger in the last issue, Batman battles Poison Ivy’s monstrous creations and discovers a terrifying new threat hidden deep within the city. At the same time, the Joker is putting his plans into motion, teaming up with a surprising new partner.

The next two issues of Absolute Batman will be released on February 11th and March 11th, 2026. This series started in October 2024 and presents a different take on Batman: Bruce Wayne is a 24-year-old construction worker with a powerful build who fights crime as the Dark Knight in an alternate universe.
