Alongside comments from famous people on Lena Dunham’s Instagram post (which reached 3.1 million followers), a fan of the HBO show Girls shared a funny idea: matching Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce to a character from the series.

Wow, I’m really seeing a connection here! As a big fan of Girls, I always loved Shoshanna Shapiro, played by Zosia Mamet. It’s become something of a tradition for viewers to identify with a character on the show, and it seems like a lot of people are picking up on the similarities between Travis and Shosh. I saw a comment about it that had almost 450 likes, so I’m definitely not alone in thinking they’re kindred spirits!
For much of the show Girls, Shoshanna provided comic relief and often seemed eager to impress others, especially compared to the other characters. Many fans think Travis Kelce gives off similar energy, and that’s why they’ve drawn comparisons.
